Age and geology of the Jurassic Lights Creek copper district, California: An Fe-oxide copper gold association

$10.00

The Jurassic rocks of the Great Basin host numerous iron-rich hydrothermal
mineral deposits (Barton and Johnson, 1996). In addition to important iron deposits
in the Carson Sink (Buena Vista or Humboldt), Cortez Mountains, and Jackson
Mountains, the Yerington district contains both porphyry Cu(±Mo) deposits and the
Pumpkin HollowFe-oxide-Cu and Minnesota Fe-oxide (IOGC) deposits of middle Jurassic
age (~168 Ma).
