This tectonic<br \/>\nsuture zone is the boundary between the North American Plate and the<br \/>\nCaribbean plate and defines the Mayan block to the north and the Chorties block to<br \/>\nthe south.<br \/>\nMarlin is a structurally controlled volcanic hosted Au-Ag low sulfidation epithermal<br \/>\ndeposit, with resources of more than five million ounces gold-equivalent. It will be<br \/>\nin production in 2006.<br \/>\nPrecious metals epithermal mineralization is hosted within faults affecting Tertiary<br \/>\nandesitic rocks and bedded volcano.sedimentary rocks. The ore consists of multistage<br \/>\nquartz breccia veins and stockworks related to broad argillized zones in surface<br \/>\noutcrops but propylitized at depth.
